We are reading "City of Bones" by Michael Connelly. I have to say I have read only 8 Chapters and so far so good. It isn't really my normal choice - the American dialogue rather annoys me but as it is set in America, what can you expect?

Anyway, I am plodding on. I am sure it will be a good read in the end.

I read the April option while on holiday. Now THAT was a great book. More of that next month!!!

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://scrapsoflife.squarespace.com/book-choices-and-reviews/2009/1/21/february-2009.html"><rss:title>February 2009</rss:title><rss:link>http://scrapsoflife.squarespace.com/book-choices-and-reviews/2009/1/21/february-2009.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

We are having a lighter set of books to read for our meeting in February.

Alistair Cooke's "Letter from America". (Oh how I remember this one! My first husband and I used to love to listen to the radio programmes and we read this back then. Very dear memories and a lovely broadcaster who is now no longer with us sadly.

To go with this we are also reading Alan Bennett's "The Uncommon Reader". Thankfully this is a small book which shouldn't take long. Heyho! Lots of good reading matter.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://scrapsoflife.squarespace.com/book-choices-and-reviews/2008/12/29/january-2009.html"><rss:title>January 2009</rss:title><rss:link>http://scrapsoflife.squarespace.com/book-choices-and-reviews/2008/12/29/january-2009.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

Our book for January is Shakespeare by Bill Bryson. We are meeting on 12th January at Jenny's house and will be discussing this and bringing books to select our next 2/3 months choices.
